Forschung Kreismuseum Wewelsburg

Scientific research in the thematic areas of the permanent exhibitions and the main focus points of the collection are among the fundamental tasks of the Wewelsburg District Museum.

As well as the research projects, scientific assistants research individual collections and special exhibition topics. The research results are presented as part of lectures, exhibitions and publications. The district museum publishes two series of publications for the studies.

Lectures, regional and international conferences and symposia are regularly held in the district museum relating to themes of contemporary history/NS history or regional history at which current research is presented and discussed.
